Thanks for attending... Imperfection Rules! Creative Ways To Run Your Business

with Fay Wolf

Do I know everything? Nope! But here are the apps I currently use to keep my own productivity + decluttering business running smoothly. As you know, there are a million options out there. These are what currently work for me…

Email Communication:

Gmail

I run all my email addresses (regardless of domain name) through one Gmail account, so that I only check one account for communication. (I use a separate Hotmail address for newsletters and online orders, so that my Gmail doesn’t get clogged with emails that don’t require a reply.)

Inbox By Gmail (works on mobile + desktop)

Currently using Gmail’s new Inbox app to read and interact with email on my mobile device. It has the ability to Snooze emails, which means my inbox count stays low. Also playing around with Outlook’s mobile app for this feature.

Right Inbox

Schedules emails to be sent later.

*UPDATE: Gmail discontinued Inbox By Gmail, and they added Snooze and Scheduling to the native app. So now it’s all just in Gmail.

Calendar:

iCal (desktop)

Fantastical (mobile)

Task List:

OmniFocus (desktop + mobile)

*UPDATE: Currently using TickTick, a simple app that works across all platforms.

Digital Filing Cabinet / All Ideas & Notes:

Evernote

Client Income Tracking:

Wave Apps

General Money Tracking:

Mint (desktop + mobile)

Life-Changing Budgeting:

YNAB (this is my affiliate link, so we’ll both get a free month)

Delegating / Sharing Tasks:

Trello

Passwords:

1Password

Recording Ideas / voice memos to myself:

RecUp (formerly DropVox; sends recordings directly to my DropBox account)

Scanning (mobile):

Scannable

Photo Editing (for Instagram):

VSCO, Afterlight

Cloud Backup:

Backblaze

Secondary Storage + Sharing Files between devices:

DropBox

Computer Clutter:

CleanMyMac (there’s a CleanMyPC, too!)
